Job summary
Hollstadt Consulting is seeking a Data Engineer for a remote, 6–12 month engagement. You will be the primary technical resource for Globus operationalization, onboarding research customers, and building knowledge within the Enterprise Interfaces team.
The role focuses on secure, high-throughput data transfers, platform configuration, and ongoing operational support. You will work with Globus, GCS, GCP, and Sailpoint, ensuring compliance with ISA/BAA and risk requirements while delivering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering required or equivalent
- Experience with Globus platform and Globus Connect Server v5
- Strong Linux system administration and scripting skills
- Hands-on experience with GCP services and RBAC
- Security-aware with HIPAA/GA frameworks is a plus
Responsibilities
- Finish Globus Connect Server deployment on GCP VMs
- Configure Globus storage gateways and S3 connectors
- Onboard initial research users and document onboarding procedures
- Provide Tier 1/2 support for transfers and escalations
- Maintain health of GCS, gateways, and DNS/auth flows
- Create runbooks, SOPs, and training material
- Collaborate with Architecture, Storage, and Research stakeholders
