Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a senior Globus Platform Engineer to deploy, configure, and secure Globus Connect Server V5 on Google Cloud VMs within the Data DMZ. You will optimize transfers, manage storage gateways, and enforce Mayo data access policies across identity providers.

Responsibilities include onboarding users, documenting procedures, and collaborating with the architecture and storage teams to ensure compliant, scalable data movement operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with Globus platform including Globus Connect Server v5.
• Strong experience with GCP, Linux, and network security.
• Familiarity with identity providers, RBAC, and Sailpoint workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and harden Globus Connect Server on GCP VMs within DMZ.
• Configure Storage Gateways, S3 connectors, and collections per Mayo policies.
• Provide Tier 1/2 support for transfers and collaborate with vendor teams.
• Create runbooks, SOPs, and operational playbooks; ensure compliance.
