Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking an Associate Director of Global Value Evidence Strategy to lead the development and execution of evidence plans for CNS, nephrology and immunology assets, coordinating studies, analyses and dissemination to payers and HTA authorities.

This role ensures value demonstration and supports market access objectives. The candidate will apply health economics and outcomes research expertise, oversee internal and external partners, and travel as required to

Qualifications

• Experience in outcomes research including dossier submissions for reimbursement and in design/development of pharmacoeconomic models.
• Experience working with consumers of outcomes information
• Knowledge of epidemiology, economics, psychometrics and medical writing
• Strong expertise in non-interventional study designs and methodological considerations in statistical analyses
• Ability to develop research hypotheses, study protocols, and statistical analysis plans
• Excellent communication/presentation skills and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Supports the development and execution of global value evidence strategies by gathering, synthesizing, and analyzing evidence needs across payers and other stakeholders.
• Participate in and demonstrate readiness to eventually lead the Value-Evidence Sub-Committee for assigned products and indications
• Participate in development and maintenance of Integrated Evidence Plans (IEP)
• Design and implement health economics and outcomes research studies globally to support value propositions and reimbursement requirements
• Implement studies by collaborating with internal teams or external vendors and academic partners
• Support publication planning and execution coordinating with publication teams and scientific communications personnel
• Support preparation of medical or payer advisory meetings to solicit feedback on disease impacts
• Identify and support projects that directly support economic strategy and develop economic tools for audiences
• Evaluate healthcare economic value versus alternatives using clinical trials and real-world data
• Collaborate with payers and organizations to uncover evidence needs and develop models
