Job summary

GWS Tool Group seeks a Regulatory and Trade Compliance Associate to support product regulatory, materials compliance, import/export, and responsible-sourcing activities. You will collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Quality, EHS, Operations, Accounting, and others to ensure compliance with laws, customer requirements, and company policies.

This role translates complex requirements into practical business processes, maintains accurate compliance records, and helps identify risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline; equivalent relevant education and experience may be considered.
• 1–3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, trade compliance, customs, engineering, or related field.
• Experience reviewing technical, supplier, customer, or regulatory documentation.
• Experience in manufacturing or other regulated environments is preferred.
• Exposure to EAR, ITAR, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, Proposition 65, PFAS, and related regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support U.S. and international import/export compliance, including EAR, ITAR, and customs.
• Assist screening of restricted/denied parties and other regulatory red flags.
• Coordinate export-license requirements and escalation for reviews.
• Prepare origin declarations, USMCA certificates, and related documentation.
• Maintain regulatory records in compliance systems and databases.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate business impacts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to embed regulatory requirements in processes.
