Job summary

Jobgether SRL seeks a Communications Manager, Global Programs, based in the United States. You will lead strategic communications translating complex global protection programs into clear messages for broad audiences.

You will shape positioning and messaging for initiatives addressing violence, exploitation, and human trafficking, working across program, marketing, fundraising, regional, and media teams to ensure accuracy and audience focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, writing, marketing communications, journalism, English, nonprofit management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in strategic communications, marketing communications, campaign communications, content strategy, brand messaging, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience developing messaging for diverse audiences, including mass audiences, major donors, institutional partners, media, and senior leaders.
• Strong experience collaborating across cultures and functions with program specialists, regional teams, communications professionals, and senior leadership.
• Proven ability to develop strategic messaging architecture, repeatable frameworks, narrative guidance, and reusable content assets.
• Advanced writing, editing, and editorial judgment, with ability to communicate complex subjects clearly and compellingly.
• Experience developing mass-audience marketing communications in international development or similar global context is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal awareness and influence without direct authority.
• Strong global and cultural awareness, sensitivity to diverse audiences and contexts.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, solve problems creatively, adapt to changing needs.
• Collaborative, flexible, service-oriented approach to cross-functional partners.
• Demonstrated commitment to Christian faith and ability to participate in faith-based environment and spiritual formation activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize messaging strategies connecting program evidence, priorities, brand positioning, and audience needs.
• Lead mass-audience positioning for programs addressing forced labor, violence against women/children, online exploitation of children, and police abuse of power.
• Translate complex program models and data into accessible, accurate external communications.
• Develop and maintain key messages, messaging frameworks, narrative guidance, and content that can be reused across audiences and channels.
• Lead end-to-end messaging for priority program areas, aligning with evidence, strategy, audience, and brand standards.
• Facilitate sessions to define communications challenges, audiences, and align stakeholders on messaging direction.
• Build scalable content systems enabling core messages to fit different audiences without losing accuracy.
• Collaborate with program, regional, marketing, fundraising, and media teams to promote adoption of messaging.
• Use audience insights and content performance data to refine communications and improve engagement.
• Apply survivor-centered, culturally sensitive, and ethical storytelling when communicating about violence and lived experiences.
• Provide strategic and editorial counsel on message hierarchy, audience relevance, context, and content quality.
• Develop tools and resources to strengthen communications capabilities across teams and foster a collaborative community.
