Job summary

Textile Exchange is a global nonprofit advancing climate-positive practices across the fashion and textile industry. The People Operations Lead, a member of the Leadership Team, translates direction into actionable plans and runs the People & Culture function’s systems, compliance, and operations to ensure a positive employee experience.

Reporting to the Senior Director, People & Culture, this role mentors the Payroll & People Systems Specialist and the Global Benefits & Leave Specialist,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of progressive HR/People & Culture experience including strategic HR partnership.
• Experience leading or supervising HR professionals.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Partnership & Talent Management, aligning HR strategy with organizational objectives.
• Policy & Compliance: track HR law and partner with EOR for international employees.
• Payroll, Benefits & People Systems: oversee payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems.
• Employee Relations & Performance: manage complex employee relations and performance conversations.
• Culture and Inclusion: promote DEI and maintain a positive, inclusive culture.
• Secondary Duties: support special projects as assigned by Senior Director, People & Culture.
