Job summary

WEKA is seeking a Global Resolution Engineer (GRE) – Networking SME to diagnose and resolve advanced networking issues in HPC and AI workloads. You’ll work across Customer Success, Engineering, and Product to optimize performance and reliability in WEKA deployments.

As a GRE, you’ll analyze field data, drive root-cause investigations, and influence future networking capabilities while mentoring teams and leading advanced troubleshooting sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 15+ years in advanced technical support, network engineering, or network architecture roles in enterprise/cloud/HPC.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid deployments preferred.
• English fluency required; additional languages a plus.
• Willingness to support global operations and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex networking issues in WEKA deployments.
• Troubleshoot Layer 1–4 networking problems in high-throughput, low-latency environments.
• Mentor and review case strategy with Customer Success Engineers.
• Analyze field data to identify patterns and systemic network flaws.
• Maintain and evolve Known Issues DB, WTAs, and KB content.
• Collaborate with Development to provide root-cause analyses and influence product features.
• Lead internal training and participate in design reviews for networking best practices.
• Improve internal tooling for packet capture, latency analysis, and path validation.
• Represent GRE in cross-functional reviews focusing on readiness and scalability.
• Support 24/7 operations through on-call participation.
