Job summary

Mercy Ships is seeking a Senior Technical Services Manager to lead the fleet's shared technical services, balancing immediate needs with long-term reliability. You will guide engineers across vessels, coordinate with asset management, and drive maintenance standards.

Role requires deep maritime technical knowledge and ability to travel internationally, with a focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and lifecycle planning across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years maritime technical experience.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience with Classification Societies and Flag States.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical Services Team and allocate the shared specialist bench across machinery, electrical, navigation, hospital, and other systems.
• Oversee AMPs, vessel work, and ensure surface technical pain points are addressed with vessel engineering teams.
• Coordinate specialist support for complex repairs and engage vendors while the Technical Superintendent owns resolution.
• Drive maintenance strategy and ensure planned maintenance content meets safety and lifecycle goals.
• Collaborate on engineering reviews for complex repairs, modifications, and upgrades.
