Job summary

Mercy Ships is seeking an Operations Recruitment Specialist to design and implement innovative sourcing strategies for maritime and operational roles. The role requires building a strong candidate network, coaching team members, and collaborating with the Staffing and global recruitment teams to meet mission-driven hiring goals.

The position is full-time, hybrid, with a 3-day-week in the Lindale, Texas office and travel both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Marketing, Healthcare or related field.
Minimum of two years recruiting experience.
Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
Experience managing a team is preferred.

Responsibilities

Build and evaluate applicant sources; develop relationships with associations, schools, and organizations.
Develop a network of potential candidates from alumni, leads, referrals, and job boards.
Source passive candidates using online tools, cold calls, and search resources.
Coordinate seed-planting initiatives through career centers, churches, and academic departments.
Research ads and postings; monitor effectiveness and ROI of sourcing channels.
Develop lead sources and expand the network for higher ROI.
