Job summary

Armada is hiring a Data Center Structural Engineer to support the Galleon and Leviathan MDC lines worldwide. You will own the structural thread from early site due diligence through design, certification, fabrication and installation, creating repeatable, scalable designs for diverse site conditions.

You will liaise with vendors and certifying engineers, review shop drawings, and ensure built structures match what was certified, while travelling 20–30% to project sites and fabrication locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; PE/SE license or international equivalent.
• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience with structural analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Working knowledge of structural analysis/design software and building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI) and ability to navigate international codes (NCC, Eurocode).
• Autonomy to define the playbook and lead projects.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% to project sites worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Global vendor liaison & certification — identify, vet, and liaise with domestic/international structural engineering vendors and local certifying engineers; ensure compliance before work begins.
• Site due diligence & jurisdictional risk assessment — evaluate seismic, wind, snow, soil conditions; map local codes and AHJ requirements; flag certification risks.
• Standardized, repeatable structural design — develop templates for MDC components to create repeatable SKUs across sites.
• In-house analysis & design for new products and sites — perform structural analysis and design in-house for new Armada products and site conditions.
• End-to-end technical oversight through fabrication, installation, and commissioning — coordinate with fabricators and engineers; review shop drawings and anchorage details.
• Structural governance, documentation & operational readiness sign-off — maintain guidelines, checklists, and workflows; certify readiness.
