Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Global Servicing Travel Consultant to join our remote team in the United States. You will advise on and arrange corporate travel across the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, using Sabre GDS to book complex itineraries and ensure policy compliance.

You will monitor travel options, handle rider requests, and work with teams to deliver high-quality service while adapting to changes in travel advisories and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ corporate travel experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ native Sabre GDS experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills in a travel environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing workload.
• Fares & Ticketing knowledge – including RTW and complex fares.
• Knowledge of products including car service, hotels and rail.
• Domestic & International destination/geographical knowledge.
• Maintaining up to date knowledge of international travel notifications and guidelines as per government/client rulings.
• Demonstrated understanding of the relevant customer base.
• Ability to adapt communication style to the audience, communicate confidently, accuracy and lead traveler to desired outcomes.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Work across teams and departments.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers in the US, Canada, UK and Australia.
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options and proactively anticipate traveler needs.
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel in various complexities.
• Use Sabre GDS for bookings.
• Ensure compliance with travel policy and provider rules.
• Provide positive telephone service and handle special requests.
• Prevent fraudulent bookings by following security protocols.
• Collaborate within the team to coach and mentor for better service levels.
