Job summary

ThinkWell is seeking a Global Controller to lead the full finance and accounting function across multiple countries from a remote position. You will own the enterprise month-end close, oversee international payroll and tax filings, and ensure compliance with US and global requirements.

You will build the chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online, manage AP/AR, treasury, VAT, and contract billing, and lead a team of international coordinators while partnering with site F&A Directors and the CFO.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience, including international and multi-entity accounting.
• Master’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
• Experience in both project accounting and corporate accounting.
• Experience in government contract management with various contract types.
• Hands-on QuickBooks Online experience, including chart of accounts and indirect costs.
• Experience overseeing US payroll and international payroll.
• Experience managing AP, AR, and treasury.
• Experience building a team and improving policies.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close at the enterprise level across all entities and US operations.
• Oversee accounting, taxation, and reporting for international offices and ensure postings to US books.
• Process US payroll and oversee international payroll and compliance.
• Oversee VAT and tax reporting and procurement practices at each site.
• Manage AP, AR, and treasury, cash, FX exposure, and banking relations.
• Build and manage the chart of accounts in QBO and apply indirect costs.
• Support contract billing, budgets, and audits across government contracts.
• Collaborate with F&A Directors and CFO on US books, payroll, and tax reporting.
• Supervise and develop international finance and accounting coordinators.
• Develop new processes and update policies for consistency across offices.
