Ontic is seeking a Global Commodity Specialist to join our team. You will report to the Global Commodity Senior Manager and work on strategic sourcing initiatives across Ontic’s global business in a remote structure.

The role supports RFx processes, cost optimization, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–7 years in strategic sourcing or procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field.
• 3–7 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Aerospace & Defense experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing projects under the Global Commodity Senior Manager.
• Manage end-to-end RFx processes: supplier identification, market analysis, bid solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendations.
• Support global sourcing initiatives including supplier consolidation, resourcing, and license support.
• Ensure sourcing activities align with global commodity strategies and enterprise objectives.
• Identify and deliver cost-reduction opportunities through PPV, VA/VE, should-cost analysis, and competitive sourcing.
• Develop and maintain global supplier agreements and manage contract lifecycle activities.
• Support alignment with legal requirements and supply chain risk mitigation objectives.
• Develop understanding of global commodity markets and pricing trends.
• Provide market intelligence and supplier insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute sourcing initiatives.
• Serve as interface between Global Sourcing and site-level stakeholders.
