Job summary

Ontic is seeking a Global Commodity Specialist to drive strategic sourcing initiatives across core commodity areas including DC Motors, Windings, and Hardware. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and site supply chain teams to deploy global commodity strategies and ensure supply continuity.

The role requires 3–7 years in strategic sourcing with strong negotiation and analytical capabilities, plus experience with ERP systems and Power BI. Travel about 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 3–7 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Aerospace & Defense experience preferred.
• Experience managing RFx: RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
• Experience with cost analysis, PPV, VA/VE, or should-cost analysis.
• Understanding of contracts, terms, and supplier agreements.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute end-to-end RFx processes with suppliers.
• Develop and deploy global commodity strategies aligned to objectives.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities using PPV, VA/VE, and should-cost analyses.
• Manage supplier agreements, pricing updates, and contract lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and service.
