Piper Companies is seeking a Head of CNS Therapeutic Development to join a leading global CRO in a fully remote permanent position. The role leads the CNS portfolio strategy, growth, and performance, partnering with senior leaders to expand global programs.

The candidate will guide bid strategies, client engagement, and sponsor relationships, while mentoring Portfolio Directors and senior leaders in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• 15+ years of clinical research with CNS focus.
• 10+ years leading programs, portfolios, or global operations.
• Proven leadership of large, international CNS portfolios.
• Strong business development, client engagement, and sponsor mgmt.
• Knowledge of clinical trial execution, regulatory requirements, and ICH-GCP.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for a global CNS portfolio and drive growth.
• Shape bid strategies and support client presentations with senior stakeholders.
• Lead Portfolio Directors and senior project leaders; mentor teams.
• Oversee portfolio financial performance, forecasting, and risk management.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex client and delivery challenges.
