Atmosera is seeking a skilled engineer to drive GitHub Enterprise Cloud migration projects as a contractor. The role involves migrating repositories from GitHub Enterprise Server, BitBucket, or GitLab to GitHub Enterprise Cloud. You will collaborate with client teams to define a scalable migration strategy and tooling.

You will build automation, document migration paths, and work with project management to plan migration waves, ensuring accurate metadata and successful transitions.

Qualifications

• Experience migrating repositories between GitHub Enterprise Server, BitBucket or GitLab to GitHub Enterprise Cloud.
• Strong scripting ability (Python/Bash) for automation and tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Migrate repositories to GitHub Enterprise Cloud from multiple sources.
• Gather requirements and provide status updates with client engineers and leadership.
• Build and document a scalable migration path with tooling and automation.
• Coordinate migration waves with project management.
• Analyze server configurations and repository metadata for accuracy.
• Troubleshoot issues during migration including file sizes, connectivity, or permissions.
• Develop scripts and GitHub Actions workflows to accelerate migrations.
