Leidos is seeking a GIS Tech to support electric distribution projects from a home-based setup within 50 miles of the Durham area, with 5-10% travel for storm support and occasional office visits.

The role involves updating GIS data from as-builts, logs, and client systems, working in an Agile team, and coordinating with utility clients nationwide. A GIS-related degree or coursework plus experience is required.

Qualifications

• Requires 30 credit hours GIS-related program or a bachelor in GIS or related field, or high school diploma with GIS work experience.
• Knowledge of Client Standards preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Willingness to perform field and office work with 10-20% travel.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook).

Responsabilités

• Use GIS/CAD software to support electric distribution projects and data maintenance.
• Reference as-builts and logs to update GIS data reflecting field work.
• Identify data inconsistencies and coordinate updates with clients.
• Obtain and manipulate GIS data at state and municipal levels.
• Collaborate in an Agile team environment to meet standards.
