Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a GIS professional to coordinate, prepare, and process information for the Geographic Information System. This role supports GIS mapping, databases, layers, and digital map products while ensuring up-to-date gas distribution records and assisting replacement programs.

The position offers hybrid work within service territories and requires a Associate's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, ArcGIS skills (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcCatalog), and

Competenze

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of prior work experience in a similar GIS role.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise and able to perform edits and updates to mapping system.
• Knowledge of ArcCatalog and ESRI geodatabase format.
• Knowledge of materials, software, and equipment used for drafting, surveying, construction and electronic mapping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
• Excellent record keeping skills.
• Normal level of vision and hearing.
• Familiar with company and industry standards, designs and practices.
• Able to follow company safety rules and procedures.

Mansioni

• Coordinate, prepare, and process GIS information for the GIS system.
• Assist with GIS mapping functions, databases, layers, and files translation.
• Integrate other asset management programs into the GIS.
• Develop QA procedures, standards, and protocols.
• Archive and store digital media and source materials.
• Maintain metadata files and related data and map products.
• Communicate production concerns to supervisor.
• Process and update digital base map data for geospatial apps.
• Apply advanced cartographic and GIS principles in work.
• Follow Quality Control protocols as directed.
• Assist in system preparation, project layout, and design activities.
• Support distribution system operations and annual DOT/PHMSA reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
