Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks a GIS Specialist II to coordinate, prepare, and process information for the Geographic Information System across remote service territories. You will develop digital map products, maintain GIS data quality, and support distribution system records.

You’ll work from a remote home-based role, collaborating with cross-functional teams, applying ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcCatalog, and ESRI geodatabase standards, and contributing to DOT/PHMSA reporting efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years in a similar GIS role.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise and ability to perform edits to mapping systems.
• Knowledge of ArcCatalog and ESRI geodatabase format.
• Familiar with drafting, surveying and electronic mapping tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform creation, conversion, translation, migration, and import of GIS data from various sources.
• Edit, quality control, and analyze digital map data.
• Integrate other asset management programs into GIS.
• Develop QA procedures, standards, and protocols.
• Archive and manage digital media and source materials.
