Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a GIS Specialist II to join a remote-friendly, hybrid team supporting our gas distribution network. You will coordinate, prepare, and process GIS data, create digital map products, and ensure up-to-date records while supporting replacement programs.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent and 3+ years of GIS experience, with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcCatalog, and ESRI geodatabases.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of GIS experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise; ability to perform edits and updates.
• Experience with ArcCatalog and ESRI geodatabase formats.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, convert, translate, migrate, and import GIS data from diverse sources.
• Edit, quality control, and analyze digital map data for accuracy.
• Integrate asset management programs into the GIS environment.
• Develop QA procedures, standards, and protocols for GIS work.
• Archive digital media and maintain metadata and documentation.
• Communicate production issues to supervisor and coordinate tasks.
• Prepare and update digital base maps for geospatial applications.
