Job summary

ABB seeks an experienced GIS Commissioning Engineer to lead the on-site commissioning of GIS and RMU systems in U.S. projects.

You will develop work plans, oversee energization, and drive customer acceptance, while coordinating with ABB teams and customers remotely. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of commissioning, with deep ABB GIS/RMU experience and travel up to 50% across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 10+ years of commissioning experience.
• Extensive field engineering experience with GIS/RMU and ABB platforms.
• Willingness to travel 40-50% and lead on-site commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of ABB GIS and RMU systems per standards and IEEE/IEC/ANSI requirements.
• Create commissioning work plans, cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and MOPs.
• Support execution through energization and customer acceptance.
• Support FAT/IFAT activities and interface with customers and ABB teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and travel to sites.
