Job summary

ABB is seeking a Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Commissioning Engineer in the United States. You will lead commissioning of GIS and RMU systems, create work plans and MOPs, and support FAT/IFAT, with onsite leadership and customer interface.

The role requires 10+ years of commissioning and field engineering experience, ABB GIS/RMU familiarity, strong technical writing, and travel 40–50%. Remote in the US with responsibility for Else Data Center Services Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Eng or equivalent required.
• 10+ years in commissioning and field engineering.
• Experience with ABB GIS/RMU and protection platforms.
• Willing to travel 40-50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of ABB GIS and RMU systems per ABB standards and IEEE/IEC/ANSI.
• Create commissioning work plans, cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and MOPs.
