Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a German Localization QA Tester/Proofreader in Cupertino, CA. You will review localized German (Germany) content for naturalness, accuracy, and polish, check grammar, punctuation, and consistency, and report localization defects in internal systems.

You may also translate content from English into German and verify fixes after updates. The role requires native-level German (Germany), sharp attention to detail, and comfort working remotely with periodic onsite collaboration

Qualifications

Native German (Germany) language skills.
Experience reviewing localization content for software and documentation.
Strong attention to detail and quality assurance mindset.
Ability to write and report bugs using internal bug-tracking systems.
Ability to understand and prioritize tasks quickly.

Responsibilities

Write and report bugs using the internal database system.
QA various products by accurately following testing instructions and test cases.
Evaluate translations in the context of software, mobile apps, and documentation.
Be a subject matter expert for linguistic issues in German; resolve linguistic questions.
Adhere to project-specific quality standards, glossaries, and client checklists.
Troubleshoot basic problems; communicate testing issues effectively.
Complete assigned tasks in a quality and timely manner.
