Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a German Localization QA Tester / Proofreader to join a long-term project in Austin, Texas.

As a Linguistic Tester, you will review and refine German (Germany) content for accuracy and natural phrasing, run test cases, and report issues through internal systems. You may translate English to German occasionally and examine interfaces for localization and functional issues.

Qualifications

• Native-level German (Germany) fluency.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance mindset.
• Effective written and spoken communication in English and German.

Responsibilities

• Write and report bugs using internal bug-tracking systems.
• Review translations and assess localization accuracy in UI and docs.
• Verify fixes after developers address issues and re-test.
• Identify linguistic or cultural issues and research solutions.
• Follow project-specific quality standards, glossaries, and style guides.
