Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a Linguistic QA Tester in Hebrew to proofread and edit localized content, ensuring grammar, punctuation, and style across interfaces. You will translate from English when needed and check UIs for functional issues. This role requires testing across devices, following test cases, and reporting localization bugs.

Work is 100% onsite in Austin, TX, with the ability to conduct bug verification and collaboration with translation, marketing, and QA teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in the target language (grammar, vocabulary, punctuation).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Experience with translation or localization projects.
• Experience testing web applications on Mac OS X and iOS.
• Familiarity with test cases and test scripts.
• Experience with bug tracking systems and reports.
• Ability to clearly reproduce steps and communicate issues.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Proofread and edit localized content for grammar, typos, punctuation, and style.
• Translate content from English to the target language when required.
• Check UIs for functional issues across devices and platforms.
• Conduct test cases, identify localization bugs, and report them.
• Verify fixes after bug resolution with appropriate re-testing.
• Collaborate with vendor and project management teams as needed.
