Job summary
GeoAcuity is seeking a fully remote Geospatial Engineer to join the team supporting a satellite-based wildfire detection program. The role involves building, operating, and improving cloud architecture for ingesting satellite imagery and fire products on ArcGIS Enterprise in AWS.
You will automate imagery pipelines with Python, administer Esri Enterprise, and create services that deliver data to users. The ideal candidate has deep ArcGIS experience, strong Python skills, and hands-on work with
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in geospatial engineering or GIS administration.
- Proficient with Esri stack: ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes.
- Strong Python including ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python.
- Experience with PostgreSQL/SQL Server enterprise geodatabase.
- Experience with AWS S3, EC2, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities
- Build and automate imagery ETL and data processing.
- Develop ETL workflows for new products and partner data.
- Operate GIS services, maps, dashboards, and apps on ArcGIS.
- Administer ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes and AWS.
- Improve catalog search and STAC item handling.
- Develop download services for authorized users.
- Analyze performance across Esri services and AWS.
- Support identity providers and access controls.
- Document tests, releases, and runbooks.
