Job summary

Esri is seeking an experienced engineer to help lead development of advanced image analysis solutions for defense and intelligence applications. You will design, test, document, and deploy geospatial software that combines photogrammetry, remote sensing, and AI within ArcGIS ecosystems.

You will mentor teammates, define critical functionality, and ensure quality across all stages. The role requires leadership in test strategies, strong communication, and the ability to work with sensitive

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience on COTS or GOTS software products.
• Advanced experience in remote sensing, image processing, photogrammetry, or image analysis.
• Proven ability to lead major testing or design efforts and mentor others.
• Strong skills in preparing and automating test strategies and cases.
• Experience managing project timelines and dependencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work with controlled unclassified information (CUI).
• Bachelor’s degree in geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI access.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and test industry leading software solutions for imagery products supporting formats such as NITF, GeoTIFF, CADRG and MISB compliant video (FMV).
• Collaborate with developers to integrate and test toolkits and libraries into ArcGIS.
• Orchestrate and document results from defense and intelligence lab testing.
• Collaborate on software projects designing and building new software and planning for future releases.
• Define, document, and prioritize user requirements for GIS in real-world remote sensing scenarios.
• Potentially lead design, development, and documentation of automated QA plans and tests (SOPs, image quality metrics, regression testing).
