Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Geophysics, Geology, or a related geoscience discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on seismic interpretation experience in Oil & Gas.
• Expertise in workstation-based seismic interpretation: fault interpretation, horizon mapping, and attribute analysis.
• Proficiency with major seismic interpretation software packages.
• Strong understanding of seismic data processing principles.
• Solid knowledge of geological concepts: structural geology, stratigraphy, and sedimentology.
• Experience with seismic inversion techniques is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, managing timelines.
• Must have legal right to work as a contractor in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Process, QC, and interpret 2D/3D seismic data.
• Perform seismic attribute analysis and inversion studies.
• Integrate seismic data with well logs and geological models.
• Identify and map geological structures and hydrocarbon traps.
• Create isopach, structure, and property maps from seismic data.
• Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers on exploration strategies.
• Prepare detailed geophysical reports and presentations.
• Utilize Petrel, Kingdom Suite, and HampsonRussell in workflows.
• Maintain data quality and consistency across processes.
• Stay updated with seismic interpretation advancements.
