Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mid-Level MMRP Geophysicist to join our team. The role combines field and home-office duties, with travel and growth opportunities toward Data Analyst or QC Geophysicist tracks.

You will work on DoD-related MMRP tasks, using DGM/AGC sensors and advanced positioning systems, reporting to the AGC Technical Manager. Applicants should have NERP/MMRP experience, OSHA HAZWOPER training, and the ability to work independently or within a large virtual team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geophysics, geology or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of direct MMRP experience supporting DoD task orders (CERCLA/RCRA).
• Experience with EM61-MK2 DGM sensors.
• Experience with one or more sensors: APEX, MetalMapper2x2, Temsense2x2, UltraTEM.
• Experience with positioning systems: RTK GPS, RTS, SLAM technology.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER with 8-hour refresher.

Responsibilities

• Collect DGM and AGC data for MMRP projects.
• Lead a DGM/AGC team and liaise with site and home office staff.
• Provide field oversight for data collection teams.
• Verify field records and raw data before processing.
• Perform geophysical operations per project plans and QA system.
• Advise on sensor selection during bid phases.
• Attend site visits during project bids.
• Assist with training less experienced staff.
• Represent the company in industry forums and conferences.
• Support new hardware/software initiatives related to MMRP.
• Prepare/review technical memoranda and attend status meetings.
• Process DGM/AGC data and provide technical briefs.
