Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a full-time MMRP Senior Geophysicist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive MMRP experience supporting DoD task orders and a strong background in geophysical sensors and data processing.

The role involves design, field operations, data analysis, and collaboration with a large virtual team. Location is flexible within the contiguous US; travel is expected, with home-based work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geophysics, geology or related technical field from an accredited institution.
• Understanding of DoD guidance related to MMRP.
• Minimum 10 years of directly relevant MMRP experience supporting DoD task orders under CERCLA and RCRA, including AGC experience.
• Proficiency using VSP.
• Proficiency in DGM and AGC data processing.
• Experience collecting data with DGM and AGC geophysical sensors and positioning systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a large, diverse, virtual project team.
• OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training with current 8-hr refresher.

Responsibilities

• Geophysical sensor selection, survey design and technical approach development for munitions response actions.
• Provide technical content during development of project work plans.
• Provide technical support to project and proposal/BD teams in line with DoD guidance.
• Serve as Project Geophysicist, Data Analyst or QC Geophysicist for MMRP task orders.
• Execute geophysical operations at the task order level per Tetra Tech’s quality system.
• Process DGM and AGC data.
• Support field operations in limited capacity.
• Prepare or oversee preparation of technical documents for task orders with minimal supervision.
• Assist with training and development of junior staff.
• Represent Tetra Tech in industry forums and meetings.
• Attend site visits and bid walks.
• Support new hardware and software initiatives related to MMRP.
• Attend ongoing training sessions.
