Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a mid-level MMRP Geophysicist in Fort Collins, CO. The role combines field work with home-office duties and leads a DGM/AGC team on projects for DoD task orders ensuring data quality and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years relevant MMRP experience, strong sensor and positioning system proficiency, and the ability to work independently within a large virtual team. Travel will be required. Fort Collins area employment offers hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in geophysics, geology or related technical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of directly relevant MMRP experience supporting DoD task orders under CERCLA and RCRA.
• Documented experience and proficiency with EM61-MK2 standard DGM sensors.
• Documented experience and proficiency with advanced sensors: APEX, MetalMapper2x2, Temsense2x2, UltraTEM.
• Documented experience and proficiency with positioning systems: RTK GPS, RTS, SLAM.
• OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training with current 8-hr refresher.

Responsibilities

• Collect DGM and AGC data for MMRP projects.
• Serve as Site Geophysicist, lead a DGM/AGC team.
• Provide field oversight of additional data collection teams.
• Verify field records and raw data prior to processing.
• Execute geophysical operations per project work plan and quality system.
• Advise on sensor selection during project bid phases.
• Attend site visits for bid phases.
• Assist training of less experienced staff.
• Represent Tetra Tech in industry forums and conferences.
• Support new hardware/software initiatives related to MMRP.
