Job summary

Stryker Corporation in Des Moines, IA seeks a Geologist contractor to evaluate surface and subsurface information and identify deposits of antibacterial clay for mining for health uses. You will work with an inter-disciplinary team to advance deposits toward production.

Responsibilities include locating additional deposits, reviewing drill holes and bulk samples, and guiding all geological aspects toward startup and ongoing production.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Earth Sciences or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate surface and subsurface information for identifying, characterizing, and extracting deposits of an antibacterial clay suitable for mining for human and animal health use.
• Perform surface and subsurface studies of clay deposits located near Crater Lake, Oregon, working as a member of an inter-disciplinary team to bring the deposit into full production.
• Locate additional deposits for future exploration and mining.
• Review and interpret all surface and subsurface data, including past drill holes and ongoing bulk sampling work.
• Direct all geological aspects to the onset and continued production of this product.
