Job summary

Strata, LLC is seeking a Geologist or Engineer I/II to support UIC projects, GIS work, and field activities. The role involves design, permitting, drilling, and maintenance of subsurface salt caverns and wells for energy storage and industrial clients.

You will develop maps and figures using ArcGIS/Petra, conduct field work, and prepare client reports through all project phases from feasibility to construction. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Petroleum Geology, Geologic Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
• Master's degree in Geology, Petroleum Geology, Geologic Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar (preferred).
• Commitment to obtain Professional Geologist/Professional Engineer registration once qualifications are met.

Responsibilities

• Field Geology tasks including tests for injection wells and salt caverns; supervise well logging and site activities.
• Prepare geologic maps, cross sections, and regulatory graphics for permit submissions.
• Draft and revise technical reports for clients and regulatory agencies.
