Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a hands-on Generative AI Lead for .NET to drive design and delivery of scalable software solutions that merge .NET engineering with modern Generative AI capabilities. You will guide teams, collaborate with architects, and translate requirements into reusable components using Python, RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, and FastAPI.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on software development experience with .NET technologies.
• Strong Python development skills and production-ready APIs with FastAPI.
• Experience designing Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LangChain, and LangGraph.
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and enterprise-grade software architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery and mentor software development teams.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, security, and performance optimization.
• Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into .NET-based enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of cloud-native application development, microservices, and API integration patterns.
• Familiarity with large language models, vector search, prompt engineering, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience working in client-facing or consulting delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on development and implementation of software projects using .NET and Agentic AI technologies.
• Design and build Generative AI solutions using Python, RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, and FastAPI.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams while promoting engineering best practices and high-quality delivery standards.
• Collaborate with architects and technical leaders to define scalable, secure, and maintainable solution designs.
• Translate business and technical requirements into clear implementation approaches and reusable software components.
• Support technical reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous improvement throughout the development lifecycle.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and incorporate appropriate capabilities into the engineering roadmap.
• Communicate technical decisions, risks, and progress clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
