Job summary

Synthires is seeking a board-certified General Surgeon for a remote hourly contract in the United States to evaluate AI-driven clinical responses in general surgery.

You will review de-identified charts, compare AI outputs, and draft structured rationales to improve accuracy, safety, and adherence to standards of care. This role offers flexible, part-time hours with immediate start and fully remote participation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in General Surgery through an ABMS member board or the AOA.
• Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
• Completed residency and fellowship training where required.
• Currently practicing and seeing patients in the United States.
• At least one year of independent practice after completing training.
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated general surgery responses for clinical accuracy, safety, and adherence to current standards of care.
• Review patient charts and compare two AI-generated responses to determine which is stronger.
• Write structured rationales assessing clinical rigor, completeness, and clarity.
• Identify and flag errors that could compromise patient safety.
