K2 Claims Services, LLC is seeking a General Liability Adjuster to handle commercial and personal lines liability claims in a remote, full-time role with occasional travel for meetings or trials. The position requires strong claims handling, investigation, and coverage analysis across a diverse caseload.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in liability claims, familiarity with TPAs or insurers, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial and personal lines liability experience.
• Experience in a TPA or insurance carrier environment handling diverse programs.
• California adjuster license preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a dedicated focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage claims in accordance with state-specific regulations and company Best Practices.
• Verify facts of loss by obtaining statements, analyzing documents, and evaluating damages.
• Handle a broad spectrum of claims from low exposure to complex losses including dog bites, slip/falls, evictions, and business disputes.
• Oversee litigated cases, refer to counsel, set litigation plans and budgets, and provide settlement authority.
• Analyze policy coverage and draft reservation of rights and/or coverage declination letters.
• Prepare reports for senior management and clients with status, reserves, and action plans.
• Negotiate settlements within assigned authority.
• Analyze risk transfer options and determine insurance priority.
• Identify and refer appropriate claims to subrogation or SIU.
