Job summary

K2 Claims Services, LLC is seeking a General Liability Adjuster to handle commercial and personal lines liability claims in a remote role with occasional travel for meetings and trials. This full-time position requires strong investigation, coverage analysis, and negotiation skills within state-specific regulations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of liability claim experience, familiarity with TPAs or carriers, and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. A CA license is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial and personal lines liability claims experience.
• Experience in a TPA or insurance carrier environment.
• Ability to obtain/maintain state adjuster licenses; California license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage claims in accordance with state-specific regulations and Best Practices.
• Verify facts of loss by obtaining statements, documents, and evaluating damages.
• Handle a diverse caseload from low exposure to complex losses, including dog bites and slip/falls.
• Oversee litigation with counsel, establishing plans and budgets, and settlements within authority.
• Analyze policy coverage and draft detailed reservation of rights or declination letters.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management on status, reserves, and action plans.
• Negotiate settlements within assigned authority.
• Assess risk transfer options and determine insurance priorities.
• Identify and refer appropriate claims to subrogation or SIU.
