Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking two General Ledger Analysts for remote roles with travel to support banking transformation projects. Responsibilities include GL operations, reconciliations, journal entries, testing, and conversion validation within core banking implementations.

Ideal candidates have a strong accounting foundation, experience in banking environments, and ability to support complex core banking conversions and system implementations. Contract-to-hire arrangement; remote in OR with travel.

Qualifications

• Previous core banking conversion experience.
• Experience with one or more Jack Henry core banking platforms.
• Experience supporting system implementations, testing, UAT, and client readiness.
• Experience participating in go-live and post-conversion support efforts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced implementation environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, monthly, and period-end General Ledger operational activities.
• Research and resolve General Ledger discrepancies, balancing issues, and unreconciled items.
• Prepare, validate, and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Complete GL account reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and financial integrity.
• Analyze transactional activity and investigate out-of-balance conditions.
• Support financial data validation and reconciliation activities during system implementations and conversions.
• Participate in testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect identification, and validation of financial processes.
• Assist with conversion planning, implementation, and post-conversion stabilization activities.
• Collaborate with project teams, business stakeholders, and banking operations teams to identify and resolve accounting-related issues.
• Document processes, testing results, reconciliation findings, and conversion outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Provide subject matter expertise for General Ledger processes throughout implementation and conversion projects.
