Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a remote-friendly GenAI Platform Engineer to lead the build and deployment of agentic AI solutions on the Gemini Enterprise Platform. You will translate client backlog into scalable, production-ready deployments and collaborate with data engineering and operations teams.

You will evaluate models, tune prompts, and ensure grounding accuracy for higher education and other clients, with a focus on secure, compliant integrations on Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building GenAI/agentic AI solutions in production.
• Experience with Gemini models or equivalent AI platforms is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines and enterprise data integrations.
• Ability to translate backlog items into working solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants on Gemini Enterprise Platform.
• Implement RAG pipelines and grounding using built-in capabilities.
• Build live integrations with client systems and maintain solution architecture.
• Ensure release readiness through testing, evaluation harnesses, and quality gates.
