Nelnet is hiring for a GenAI Platform Engineer to lead build and deployment of agentic AI solutions on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, working closely with data and deployment teams. You will drive RAG pipelines, model integration, and live API connections to client systems in a hybrid/remote setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, evaluating models, and ensuring compliance for higher education and SLED data, with a strong focus on delivery quality and scalable playbooks.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience building GenAI/agentic AI solutions (production)
• Experience with Gemini Enterprise Platform (Agent Builder, Model Garden, Workspace Studio) or Vertex AI
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, grounding techniques
• Familiarity with Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol and multi-agent orchestration patterns
• Working knowledge of cloud data/compute services (BigQuery, IAM, container platforms)

• Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants and GenAI applications on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and grounding
• Integrate Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol and multi-agent orchestration patterns
• Build live API/integration work to client systems and maintain documentation
