Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Gen AI Architect (Agentic AI & LLM) to design and deliver enterprise AI applications remotely in the United States. You will lead architecture, mentor engineers, and drive scalable Generative AI solutions spanning LLMs, RAG, tool integration, and governance.

You will define AI platform standards, champion best practices, and collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven success delivering production-grade AI & LLM-powered solutions.
• Deep expertise with Generative AI tech including OpenAI models, prompt engineering, vector databases, retrieval frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen or similar frameworks.
• Strong full-stack background: ReactJS, Node.js, and modern architecture.
• Ability to define technical strategy and mentor engineers.
• Academic or practical background in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop enterprise-scale Generative AI applications using LLMs, RAG, data, and orchestration.
• Design Agentic AI solutions with LangGraph/LangChain for complex reasoning and tool integration.
• Build scalable workflow orchestration using Temporal or similar tech.
• Define AI platform architectures including routing, prompts, observability, governance, deployment.
• Establish evaluation frameworks with offline testing, regression analysis, and diagnostics.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery from architecture to deployment and support.
• Drive best practices in scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and foster innovation and learning.
