Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Gen AI Architect (Agentic AI & LLM) to lead architecture and delivery of enterprise Generative AI solutions. The role emphasizes design of scalable AI platforms, tool integration, and production-grade deployment.

You will mentor engineers, define technical strategy, and collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams while maintaining strong governance and observability practices. This is a remote US-based position.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems or enterprise software.
• Proven track record delivering production-grade AI/LLM solutions including agentic AI and RAG.
• Deep expertise with OpenAI models, prompt engineering, vector databases, and AI orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop enterprise-scale Generative AI applications using LLMs, RAG, and workflow automation.
• Design Agentic AI solutions with LangGraph/LangChain for complex reasoning and memory management.
• Build scalable workflow orchestration with Temporal or similar technologies.
• Define AI platform architectures for model routing, prompts, observability, and production deployment.
• Establish evaluation frameworks including offline testing and business outcome measurement.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery from architecture to deployment and ops support.
• Drive engineering best practices for scalability, performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and foster innovation and continuous learning.
