Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Gen AI Architect (Agentic AI & LLM) to design and deliver scalable AI-powered enterprise applications. You will lead architecture, strategy, and development of enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions using LLMs, agentic frameworks, and modern web tech across distributed systems.

You will mentor engineers, define platform architectures, drive best practices for performance, security, and observability, and work with product teams to create measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 12+ years designing distributed systems or large-scale software.
• Proven AI/LLM production-grade experience including agentic AI.
• Deep expertise with Generative AI tech including OpenAI models, prompts, vectors.
• Hands-on with LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen or similar frameworks.
• Strong full-stack background: ReactJS, Node.js, modern architecture.
• Ability to define technical strategy and mentor teams.
• Strong fundamentals: system design, scalability, testing, performance, code quality.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop enterprise-scale Generative AI applications with LLMs, RAG, and orchestration.
• Design and implement Agentic AI solutions using LangGraph/LangChain.
• Build scalable workflow orchestration with Temporal.
• Define AI platform architectures including model routing and observability.
• Establish evaluation frameworks with offline testing and trace diagnostics.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery from architecture to deployment.
• Drive engineering best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Mentor engineering teams and foster innovation.
