Cognizant is seeking a Gen AI Architect (Agentic AI & LLM) to lead architecture and delivery of scalable AI-powered enterprise applications. You will guide strategy, set standards, and mentor teams while delivering innovative AI solutions that drive business value.

The role emphasizes hands-on design of agentic AI systems, integration with LangGraph/LangChain, and governance across AI platforms. Remote work within the United States is supported, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems or enterprise software.
• Proven success delivering production-grade AI and LLM-powered solutions including agentic AI, RAG platforms, or conversational AI.
• Deep expertise with Generative AI such as OpenAI models, prompt engineering, vector databases, retrieval frameworks, and AI orchestration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Strong full-stack background with ReactJS and Node.js; solid architectural judgment.
• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver enterprise-scale Generative AI applications using LLMs, RAG, automation, and orchestration.
• Design and implement Agentic AI solutions with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks for complex reasoning, memory management, tool integration, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Build scalable workflow orchestration solutions with Temporal or similar technologies.
• Define AI platform architectures including model routing, prompt lifecycle, observability, experimentation, and production deployment.
• Establish evaluation frameworks with offline testing, regression analysis, trace diagnostics, and business outcome measurement.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery from architecture to deployment and ops support.
• Drive engineering best practices around scalability, performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and foster innovation and technical excellence.
