Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking an Associate, GEF Partnership and Public Funding to strengthen engagement with GEF, GBFF, and public funding partners. You will coordinate complex proposals, manage deliverables, and build cross‑unit, cross‑regional relationships to advance funding opportunities.

In this two‑year role, you’ll support policy and public funding initiatives, synthesize research findings, and ensure deadlines and governance practices are followed across time zones. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Familiarity with the GEF, other multilateral environmental funds, or similar international development or financial institutions.
• Experience researching information from divergent sources and compiling it into a cohesive reporting structure.
• Experience with policy, public funding, or corporate initiatives at international, country, sub-national, or local levels.
• Familiarity with presenting to government, multilateral organizations, nonprofit organizations, or corporate staff.
• Experience working with partners, government agencies, multilateral organizations, nonprofit organizations, and/or the corporate sector.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate defined workstreams supporting GEF/GBFF opportunity and proposal pipeline.
• Support research on GEF and GBFF policies and synthesize findings into concise briefings, memos, presentations, trackers, or recommendations.
• Support coordination among TNC Business Units, regional teams, country programs, and external partners.
• Prepare and coordinate engagements with GEF Secretariat staff, GEF Agencies, governments, multilateral organizations, and other partners, including agendas and notes.
• Maintain pipeline, relationship, interaction, and next-action information in CRM and other systems.
• Build and maintain knowledge-management resources and templates.
• Support proposal and project coordination, including document management and deadline tracking.
• Progressively own bounded deliverables with clear decision rights and escalation expectations.
• Identify risks and propose practical resolution options.
• Collaborate across time zones and cultures; may require occasional after-hours work.
