Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking an Associate, GEF Partnership and Public Funding to strengthen engagement with GEF, GBFF, GEF Agencies, governments, and other public-funding partners. The role coordinates complex information and deliverables across units to support funding opportunities, knowledge management, and implementation learning.

You will support the GEF Partnership Manager and own defined projects from planning through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3 years of related experience preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• Familiarity with GEF/GBFF or similar multilateral funding mechanisms and ability to research information from diverse sources.
• Experience engaging with government agencies, multilateral organizations, or partners at international, national, or local levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate defined workstreams supporting GEF/GBFF opportunity and proposal pipeline, including workplans, deadlines, inputs, review points, and follow-up.
• Synthesize research findings into concise briefings, memos, presentations, trackers, or recommendations.
• Support coordination across TNC units, regional teams, country programs, and partner organizations.
• Prepare and coordinate engagements with GEF Secretariat staff, governments, and other partners, including agendas and briefing materials.
• Maintain pipeline and knowledge management systems; track actions and deadlines.
• Progressively own deliverables and working-level relationships with clear escalation paths.
• Identify risks and propose practical resolutions; collaborate across time zones and cultures.
