Job summary

Smart Garage Doors LLC is seeking a Garage Door Technician for a full-time remote role. You will diagnose, install, adjust, and repair commercial and residential garage doors and access systems while coordinating with dispatch and facility managers.

Travel to job sites will be required as needed, with emphasis on safety and compliance. You will document service calls, order parts, and communicate findings and timelines clearly to customers.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude in installing, repairing, and maintaining garage doors.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and access control issues.
• Knowledge of safety standards and building codes for industrial doors.
• Effective communication with facility managers and operations teams.
• Good organizational skills and accurate service documentation.
• Willingness to travel to job sites with a valid driver’s license.
• Experience as garage door technician or related trade is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent; tech training in door/access systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues and perform installations, adjustments, and repairs on garage doors and access systems.
• Coordinate with dispatch and facility managers; schedule and document service calls.
• Order or verify parts and ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards.
