Job summary

Overhead Door Corporation is seeking a Residential Installer to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential garage doors, openers, and related equipment at customer sites. The role requires reading blueprints, precise measurements, safety awareness, and strong communication with customers and team members.

Travel to various job locations, use of PPE, and the ability to lift heavy materials are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication while interfacing with staff and customers.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills: proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume.
• Read a tape measure and convert measurements.

Responsibilities

• Assess residential garage door installation and service requirements at each job site.
• Document scope of work and communicate with Sales/Scheduling for approval.
• Install residential garage doors, openers, springs, tracks, cables, hinges, locks and related hardware per specs.
• Perform service and diagnostic work on garage door systems.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
