Job summary

Action Overhead is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot and service residential and commercial garage doors, door openers, and keyless entry systems. You will work in homes and commercial buildings, ensuring safety and quality workmanship.

You will coordinate with warehouse staff and the Service Coordinator for efficient routing, read manuals before installations, and maintain a clean, stocked truck. Willingness to travel around the Metro Area is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Exceptional work ethic, motivation and customer service oriented.
• Commitment to safe work guidelines and high quality workmanship.
• Clean driving record; able to pass drug screening and background check.
• Mechanical knowledge with various hand and power tools.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and assess customer issues.
• Ensure the job site is clean/safe and materials are out of the way.
• Load materials for job preparation with warehouse staff.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinator for routing and scheduling.
• Read and understand product manuals prior to installation.
• Review Work Order information for accuracy.
• Keep the truck fueled, serviced, stocked and ready for operation.
• Clean up at the job site.
• Record installation details on the work order.
• Assist in developing existing employees and promote a safe, skilled team.
• Represent the company positively to coworkers and customers.
• Participate in safety programs and comply with policies.
