Ladders in the United States is seeking a Game Director, SPIN to join a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role shapes the design direction across multiple game projects from concept to delivery, partnering with project leaders and other discipline directors to ensure high-quality player experiences and maintain design standards across the portfolio.

The position blends strategic leadership with hands-on Unreal Engine 5 development to refine gameplay features and prototypes.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in games industry with 5+ years as Game Director.
• Proven track record shipping at least one title as a Game Director.
• Deep expertise in action-adventure game design.
• Hands-on Unreal Engine 5 experience for prototyping.
• Experience leading multiple projects and design teams.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design quality of all projects in parallel and serve as the final escalation point for design issues
• Champion and iterate on the core design vision in collaboration with project leadership
• Engage directly in Unreal Engine 5 to prototype and adjust gameplay features as needed
• Guide design across various genres, adapting approaches to fit different audiences
• Collaborate with other discipline directors to align vision and processes across projects
• Establish consistent design documentation and quality standards across the portfolio
• Manage and mentor design teams, providing clear feedback to elevate their work
